Many people might be surprised to think Tsavo West and Tsavo East are miles apart. But in reality, the two national parks are separated by the Nairobi-Mombasa highway and railway.
Pick up from your hotel or place of stay at 0700hrs , by drive guide, drive south through Masai country to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. After a stopover lunch we proceed into the scenic Amboseli National Park for a game drive returning to the camp in the evening for a sun downer. The waters from melted snow drain down Mt. Kilimanjaro under lava flows and surface in Amboseli, creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains. Here buffaloes,lions, gazelles, cheetahs, wildebeest, hyenas, jackals, warthogs, Masai Giraffes, zebra, baboon, hippos and waterbuck can be seen against the backdrop of the magnificent snow-capped mountain.Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
Pre-breakfast game drive in further search of animals and better chances to see animals early morning. After breakfast depart for Tsavo West with a game drive enroute arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives with a visit of the rhino Sanctuary whereby if you are lucky you might see the “shy” rhino. Other animals likely to be seen are Elephants, Lion, zebra, Buffalo,warthog, Antelopes etc. There exists a large variety of Bird species, migratory and local at the Tsavo West.
Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
Early morning break fast followed by morning gamedrive Visit the mzima springs where you can hippo and fish then leave west to Tsavo East. Commence your game viewing drive visiting the Kanderi Swamps and Aruba Dam areas where high concentration of animals are found. Lunch at the Lodge. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game viewing.
Dinner and Overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
After an early breakfast proceed for a morning game drive with a visit of Mzima Springs, where you can see hippos and fish in crystalline clear water. There are possibilities of seeing crocodiles and monkeys. There exists a large variety of Bird species, migratory and local at the Tsavo West. Later on depart from the park with a game drive enroute. Lunch on the way as you drive to Mombasa.
Depart for Mombasa arriving late in the afternoon.
